Walk leader training.

Get the feel good factor – become a walk leader.

Walk leader training is aimed primarily at volunteers who wish to lead community walks. It is full of practical advice and run locally where there is an existing Walk For Health scheme.

We are looking for volunteers who are:

  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Good organisers.
  • Enthusiastic.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Patient.
  • Observant – especially recognising risks or hazards.
  • And good at communicating.

Training is free of charge. However we do ask that you give a minimum of 2 voluntary hours on completion of course. This can be as a walk leader/assistant leader with in your own community walk, or as part of the Council’s Walk Together scheme.
