More photo editing with Picnik.

Workshop: Tuesday 18 January 2011 (3 to 4.30 pm).
This will be a continuation of our successful workshop on 11 January (Photo editing with Picnik), focussing on editing that is creative and useful rather than merely lurid. We will also look more closely at frames, borders and text.
By the way, people who missed the previous workshop should be able to join this one without feeling they have fallen behind. All the handouts will be available.
What we will do.
- Upload at least one digital photograph to Picnik.
- Use design effects that genuinely enhance the appearance or usefulness of the photo.
- Email at least one of them directly from Picnik (ie – without having to attach it).
- Download the best results back to your computer.
- Email at least one of them as a normal attachment.
- Create an online slideshow.
- For people who have Facebook accounts – use Picnik as the photo editor for your Facebook albums.
What you should bring to the workshop.
Nothing! At this workshop,we will all use the same small number of photos, so we can more easily compare results.

Here are some examples …
[The Picnik website was closed 19 April 2012, so this slideshow has disappeared with it.]
Also on the same day …
- Drop-in from 1.30 to 4.30 pm, as usual.
- The new First Click course will start at 1.15 pm and end at 2.45 pm. This course is not yet full (it doesn’t have to be full because we have no targets to meet). So if you are a beginner or if you would like a complete Internet refresher (including the basics) – email us at acc@lawns.org.uk (or phone 020 7254 2183 / 020 7272 5512).
