Searching the World Wide Web.

Workshop: Tuesday 10 May 2011 (3.15 to 4.30 pm).
This workshop will be an introduction to Google search (and other search engines) for beginners and other people who want to refresh their knowledge.
Nearly everything you want to know is on the WWW – but it is so big, beginners sometimes don’t know where to start or how to understand search engine results. In practice, it is not as difficult as it seems, and the major web search engines are remarkably effective at getting the results you expect – provided you have a basic understanding of how to use them. That’s what this workshop will be about.
First Click learners – this will be suitable for you too!
