Agewell Computer Club at The Lawns computer centre.

Our regular weekly sessions are on Monday and Tuesday afternoons.

  1. Monday ‘Agewell Social Network’ (2 to 5 pm).
    Social and learning activities for beginners, absolute beginners, and anyone who thinks that being sociable is more interesting than being digital.
  2. Tuesday ‘Agewell Community Computing’ (2 to 5 pm).
    Workshops and short courses on topics which our members have requested.

Most of these activities take place in the teaching area. The front area will be available for drop-in by people who have registered with Agewell in Hackney.

  3. Workshop: How to put your own photographs, links, comments and questions on our Agewell Social Network website (3:30 to 5 pm).

Tuesday Community Computing.

Teaching area: ‘Email Essentials with Henry’ course (2:30 to 5 pm).

Front area: drop-in for Agewell members. Because the course in the teaching area is full, the only drop-in space will be in the front area. Consider coming to the Monday Agewell Computer Club instead.

Tuesday drop-in policy.

As the email course is full, the only space available on Tuesday afternoons is in the front area. If (as we expect) demand is high, we may have to ration the computers.

Here is the Tuesday rationing principle …
  • Only new learners and beginners can actually reserve a drop-in computer.
  • New learners and beginners will always have priority.
  • It is very unlikely that we will have spare space for anyone who is not eligible for other Agewell in Hackney services (pre-retirement Hackney residents aged 50 to 65).

It’s going to be like that at least until Tuesday 6 March.
