Tools for making your own network.

  • Posterous.
A simple but effective tool for personal, family or community blogging. You can add content by sending an email to a special address, so you don’t even have to log in. And you can (if you want to) get it to post automatically to your Facebook wall (if you have a Facebook account).
  • Tumblr.
Similar to Posterous, but even easier to use. Good for micro-blogging by email or mobile phone.
  • WordPress.com.
An easy way to get started, though perhaps not suitable for beginners.
