Selling on eBay for beginners.

Workshop: Tuesday 27 September 2011 (3 to 4.30 pm).

‘eBay’ is one of the most requested workshop topics, and one of the most difficult to arrange. The last one was about five years ago.

About eBay.

  • Wikipedia description: “… an online auction and shopping website in which people and businesses buy and sell a broad variety of goods and services worldwide. Founded in 1995, eBay is one of the notable success stories of the dot-com bubble; it is now a multi-billion dollar business with operations localized in over thirty countries.”
  • All UK sellers must accept payments through PayPal.

About PayPal.

  • Wikipedia description: “… an e-commerce business allowing payments and money transfers to be made through the Internet.”
  • You must set up a PayPal account before you can sell anything on eBay.
  • A PayPal account shields your bank account and card details from the people you do online business with. PayPal can deposit payments into your account, or withdraw money from your account to make online payments – up to an agreed maximum limit.

At the workshop.

  • We will look at an item already submitted for auction on eBay, and the process of getting it there.
  • We will submit a vintage mink stole for auction on eBay.
